ANMORE — The last bridge on the Buntzen connector went in Thursday, completing eleven kilometres of trail that link the village trail network to the Diez Vistas route.

The work was done over three seasons, most of it by volunteers, with the two significant bridges built by a contractor on a grant from the regional district.

The connector is rated intermediate, with about 340 metres of gain over its length. Crews ask that it be left alone through the first heavy rains while the new tread settles.
